1. There are customers missing from this phtot. If there is a store, there has to be customers.
2. If someone made this photo today, there would be more customers. Also, the store would probably be made out of a different material.

1. I first noticed that the family inside had covered their walls with many pictures and newspaper articles.
2. In the photo, there are three African-American children inside a room and a cat lying on the floor. Also, the walls and ceiling are lined with pictures.
3. The physical setting of this image is what seems to be a small house in a field. It looks like day time and the temperature seems to be high considering the kids in the picture are wearing short clothing.

1. I think this image was made to show that people during the Great Depression couldn't afford many things for their home.
2. In the image, a boy is sitting in an open window and two girls are sitting on a bed inside the room. The cat is looking at the children.
3. If someone made this picture today, I think more items would be inside the home and the walls woouldn't be covered in pictures. Maybe there would be picture frames on the walls.

1. I see an entire field of dried corn, dirt, and grass. The corn looks very droopy and sad.
2. There is a lot of corn in this photo.
3. It is day time in this field of corn. The temperatuer is clearly hot which is causing the corn to whither and die.

1. I think this image was made to show that droughts were common in the south and they can effect a large number of crops.
2. In this photo, the corn is slowly whithering because of the extreme heat in the south. Soon the crops will die.
3. By looking at this picture, I learned that droughts in the south were very serious and many crops can be lost because of them.

1. I first noticed this movie theatre sign was only available to colored people.
2. In this photo, there is a fairly large Coca-cola bottle displayed in the sign.
3. "The GEM THEATRE : Exclusive Colored Theatre" is portrayed in this image.

1. I think this image was shown to portray the racial discrimination during WWII.
2. From examining this image, I learned that many different establishments were only available to whites or blacks.
3. If someone was to make this today, the theatre wouldn't just be available to colored people, anyone could go in.

1. I see a lot of white people waiting for the bus. The sign above them says White waiting room signifying that only white people were allowed.
2. "White waiting room only," which meant only white people were allowed to wait for the bus here.
3. In this photo, a bus and many people are portrayed. This must be a bus station for whites only.

1. I think this photo was made to show that people actually follwed the law.
2. In this photo, people are waiting for the bus in very long lines at the bus station. The people are chatting amongst themselves as they wait.
3. If someone made this today, there would be no sign that only allows white people. Also, not as many people would be there because as time progressed, people began driving cars and using less public transportation.

1. In this photo, I see a young woman and her children outside in what seems to be a tent. she and her children have dirty and ripped clothes and it looks like they havent bathed in days. There is also a stick holding up their tent.
2. Shown in the picture are woman and her two children. Also is a tent held up by a stick and raggedy old clothes. A lantern beside the woman is used for light inside the tent.
